bjohn Posted July 27 Posted July 27 I haven't been able to use anything higher than 2309.1 on my personal Windows desktop running Windows 11. Tried all versions after 2309.1, including 2406. The client gets incredibly laggy, going into the settings menu on the client lags so bad, it's nearly impossible to use. Switching from an app on my personal PC to the horizon client window lags about 3-4 seconds. I administer horizon at work, and we are running 2312.1. Anyone else experiencing this?
Robin Harmsen Posted July 30 Posted July 30 Not sure with what client version, but we have seen similar issues in Windows 10. Mostly due to old grsphics drivers or old hardware at the client side. bjohn Posted July 30 Author Posted July 30 My PC running Windows 11 is pretty beefy, even though it's about 4 years old. Inspiron 5680 with a Nvidia GTX 1070. Drivers, BIOS are all up to date as far as I can tell. No issues with any other applications. Connecting to a Windows 10 VM.
Employee Rob Beekmans Posted July 30 Employee Posted July 30 I posted your question internally but didn't get any answer so far.. I also checked our systems to see if we have tickets around this but so far running dry... I would also say drivers, hardware, disk space, AV messing with you.. run sysinternals to see what is going on? when you click something in the client, is memory or cpu spiking or?? 1
bjohn Posted August 10 Author Posted August 10 (edited) I was able to create a test account on my Windows PC and the lag does not happen for the new user. So, it seems to be something with my profile? I deleted VMware related registry settings and VMware folders from %appdata%. Yet the problem continues. Any idea what it could be? @Rob Beekmans No, there is so significant memory or CPU spike when using the client. I did notice that disk usage is pretty high. With 2309, there's barely any usage, with higher versions, it's hovering around 77%. Edit - I was able to resolve this. Turned out it was an issue with "DisplayFusion" software that I have installed on my PC. Edited August 10 by bjohn
