Sardaukar Posted August 29 Posted August 29 We are using DEM to publish shortcuts to the desktop and have enabled the 'Undo at logoff' feature. This works fine, but now that we are starting to use OneDrive, where Known Folder Move backs up the desktop, DEM is unable to delete the shortcuts. The result is multiple identical shortcuts. Does anyone have experience with DEM and OneDrive and know a way to avoid this? Our environment is a non-persistent VDI.
Employee Victor León Posted August 29 Employee Posted August 29 Hello, GPO (Exclude specific kinds of files from being uploaded) will help to exclude Shortcuts from syncing to OneDrive. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/use-group-policy#exclude-specific-kinds-of-files-from-being-uploaded
Sardaukar Posted August 30 Author Posted August 30 We have that setting enabled. None of these shortcuts are synced to OneDrive. However, they are stored locally and are marked with a prohibited icon. I just realized that we also use FSLogix, so the shortcuts might be saved there?
Employee Victor León Posted August 30 Employee Posted August 30 Yes probably. You will have to check and confirm though.
hans straat Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Did you confirm that FSLogix is not backing up the shortcuts. Also i would exclude them from onedrive and FSLogix cause you want to manage them purely from dem. Curious what the outcome is cause we are looking at onedrive and FSLogix.
