StokeB
We are looking at swapping out the admx and adml templates for DEM. This will be replacing all VMware UEM templates with VMware DEM templates. Its been a while since these have been updated. We have one root domain and four child domains under that. We have DEM GPO's in the four child domains. At any given time, we have about 2000-2500 users signed in. Do we need to have an outage, where no users are signed in, to swap out the templates? Here is the thought on how the swap out will work. 1. Backup all VMware UEM ADMX/ADML 2. Unlink the current GPO 3. Delete all VMware UEM ADMX/ADML, leaving all VMware DEM ADMX/ADML 4. Link new GPO and enforce.
Robin Harmsen
You might want to look little closer into the admx files, but I thought the reg keys set are the same for both, so you might just need to remove the old admx files and place the new ones and rename the GPO (for consistency). Woud safe you the hassel of unlinking and linking. Ps. And sure make a backup before doing stuff.
