txfree2
Vmware Tools: 12.4, Horizon Agent 8.13.0, DEM/UEM 10.13 I have reinstalled all the agents trying to get the C drive and the USB storage devices to show in the Horizon Client I have it working on other pools just not for sure on this pool what I did wrong. And yes I have gone into the settings of the Client and turned the USB Devices on and connected the Drive & Folder Sharing on. I would assume that I'm missing a checkbox in the tools or the agent but I turned most of them on. Yes I have the USB turned on in the agent as well. Any help would be appreciated. Alex Karibov
Which values do you have for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VMware, Inc.\Installer\Features_HorizonAgent\USB and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VMware, Inc.\Installer\Features_HorizonAgent\ClientDriveRedirection on a VM where the Horizon Agent installed? Dominik
Hello @txfree2, first question, for usb redirection in standard way you have to open port 32111 for vdi's machines, did you? Another way is usb redirection traffic via Blast. Quote Dominik Jakubowski EUC Expert | vExpert ⭐️⭐️⭐️ VDI Ninja https://vdesktop.ninja
Alex Karibov
If memory serves, 32111 is optional for USBR. It should work without any problems being incapsulated in BLAST. @txfree2, Please check if it's set to 'allow' for USB Access policy for your pool. Also it might be disabled via GPO for your VM. Your VM where USBR works are in the same OU and do the same GPOs apply to them? Do you have the same list of software on VMs in both pools? Is there some software on VM which might block devices? txfree2
The ports are open. The Global Policies is set to allow. The Same GPO's are applied to the same pools. They do have different software but the one is very basic it's for an English department so it just has the basic software like office, Adobe and browsers that's about it. I use CrowdStrike for AV and that's on every single pool.
txfree2
Well I figured out one of the problems. In the setting of the Horizon Client (version 2406) under Drive & Folder Sharing there's a slide bar to turn on or off that say's "Allow auto access to removable storage" I had that on once I turned that off all my USB drives turned on, Well that's backwards. The C:\ is still not showing up still working on that.
