Employee Victor León Posted October 22 Employee Posted October 22 Hello, When you install the Windows-based components, the installation log is created at %TEMP%\vminst.log_date_timestamp. In addition, an MSI installation log is created at %TEMP%\vmmsi.log_date_timestamp. Refer to: https://kb.omnissa.com/s/article/1027744 1
GoShen Posted October 24 Posted October 24 The logs should indicate if the pre-reqs failed to install as well. You can also check the windows event logs in the applications node.
M-Ali Posted October 27 Author Posted October 27 the installation log file shows that error "There is a problem with Windows Installer Package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run". I uninstall any Visual C++ files installed previously and let the installer to install the required version. But the issue appears again. Any Ideas, how to fix it?
M-Ali Posted November 6 Author Posted November 6 Thank you all for answering my questions. We discovered that the problem is caused by the antivirus; therefore, we tried whitelisting the installation folder to resolve it. But which folders should be whitelisted to resolve this issue?
Employee Victor León Posted November 6 Employee Posted November 6 Hello M-Ali, check this KB for AV exclusions required for Horizon. https://kb.omnissa.com/s/article/2082045
