hao xu
The updated documentation of omnissa has helped me a lot in improving my reading. When I go to https://techzone.omnissa.com/resource/deploying-workspace-one-tunnel-workspace-one-operational-tutorial#configuring- device-traffic-rules-for-windows When I looked up the configuration of the Tunnel, I found that configuring the Tunnel on Windows allows access to SMB resources, and when I tried to do a similar operation on macOS, I couldn't do it anyway. How do you do that? It was really weird that I couldn't even get any information that was being transmitted through SMB resources.
Employee Jason Misleh Posted October 24 Employee Share Posted October 24 It looks like the process is starting and then failing, based on your screenshot. The file copy made it to 209.7mb before stopping, right? If so, I would start trying to figure out why it stopped after starting. DLP software on the server? Additionally, we could take a look at logs for you. Please do not upload logs here, as they will contain information about your network that you may wish to keep private. You can open an SR for a log review.
hao xu
Hi Jason Thank you for your reply. Actually, what I want to know is how to configure the Workspace ONE UEM to enable macOS to access smb://192.168.x.x resources through tunnels when using the connection server in the Finder. The screenshot indicates that when I access the SMB, I do not find any relevant application client that has network traffic transmission. Therefore, I do not know how to configure the Tunnel device traffic rule. I do not know how to fill in information such as the application program and application ID of macOS. Mathias Raab
as per this documentation you need to specify the finder.app information: https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Workspace-ONE-UEM/2306/Tunnel_Linux/GUID-AWT-CONFIGURE-PAT-MACOS.html I am not able to test right now but that's what I found: Application Bundle ID: com.apple.finder Designated Requirement: identifier "com.apple.finder" and anchor apple Let me know if this works for you or not. Employee Jason Misleh Posted October 25 Employee Share Posted October 25 Ah. @Mathias Raab is correct. You need to add finder. I misunderstood what you were showing, sorry about that!
