  1. This release includes updates to fix critical security vulnerabilities. Omnissa Horizon Client for Windows Release Notes If you care...
  2. Yeah, it's resolved. But Omnissa dragged this out. We ended up having to buy Windows laptops. Definelty will be re-considering Omnissa when renewal time comes.
  3. Yeah, this is mentioned earlier in this post. The problem is that it needs to be made each time.
  4. Unfortunately, Omnissa sucks and are not willing to provide a permanent fix. No one seems to really care and says they will provide a hotfix when they feel like it. Just roll back the damn client! We are now being forced to remove the Chromebooks and provide Windows laptops to the impacted users.
  5. So, no options that manually making the user change it each time. Hoping Omnissa releases an update asap as this is severely impacting us.
  6. @Rob Beekmans I would love to do that, but I'm not sure how. Since this is a setting for the Horizon client, I assume Horizon there needs be a JSON value to set the audio setting that the Horizon client understands. I couldn't find such a value. If you can point me to how this can be done, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You
  7. @Rob Beekmans Any update on this issue?
  8. @Rob Beekmans Still testing, but this seems to help. Do you know if it's possible to enforce this thru JSON settings? Our Chromebooks are enrolled in the google admin console.
  9. No changes that I'm aware of. The issue only happens with Chromebooks/Horizon client for Chrome, which leads me to believe that it's an issue with Horizon client for Chrome. Thanks
  10. Bumping this up for visibility. Anyone else having this issue?
  11. @Gerard Strouth If you don't mind, can you play a YouTube video in a VDI session and see how it behaves?
  12. Anyone out there use Horizon Client for Chrome? I opened a ticket, pasting the details below. Description: We use Chromebooks with Horizon client for Chrome to connect to our VDI infrastructure. For the past 1-2 weeks our users are experiencing major audio/video issues, crackling, media not synched etc. I believe this started with Horizon Client for Chrome 2406. I can use the a web browser on the affected Chromebook to connect to our VDI and do not have any audio/video issues. I can also use the Chromebook itself (not using VDI) and do not have any audio/video issues. No issues using a Windows client to connect to our VDI either. Therefore, this appears to be an issue strictly with the Horizon Client for Chrome. Anyone else?
  13. I was able to create a test account on my Windows PC and the lag does not happen for the new user. So, it seems to be something with my profile? I deleted VMware related registry settings and VMware folders from %appdata%. Yet the problem continues. Any idea what it could be? @Rob Beekmans No, there is so significant memory or CPU spike when using the client. I did notice that disk usage is pretty high. With 2309, there's barely any usage, with higher versions, it's hovering around 77%. Edit - I was able to resolve this. Turned out it was an issue with "DisplayFusion" software that I have installed on my PC.
  14. Fix the issue of the console timing out. Even if you have the API and console timeout settings set, when you are actively using the console, it shouldn't time out. When you have the credentials saved in your browser, and when the console times out and you try to log back in, it says the saved password is wrong 90% of the time. The help desk tool is valuable to see session stats etc.. but these stats are not available when you click a username. You have to separately find the user.
  15. My PC running Windows 11 is pretty beefy, even though it's about 4 years old. Inspiron 5680 with a Nvidia GTX 1070. Drivers, BIOS are all up to date as far as I can tell. No issues with any other applications. Connecting to a Windows 10 VM.
