I agree with you Stephen. Even though in The Netherlands not a lot of customers are concerned about profiles anymore. But you have to be precise about definitions, context, components and impact.
To be honest, I don't fully agree with number 3) in the "How Instant Clones Work" section. In the context of instant clones, user customizations, like personal settings and data, normally become available after the instant clone desktop has been delivered (during/after user logon) to the user. And it's not the Horizon component that does the personalization. But maybe I'm a little too precise. 😁
Furthermore, it is a clear overview. 👏🏼

I don't think it's supported (yet). Even Microsoft is currently only offering it as a "preview" for AVD remote apps. (source: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/onedrive-remoteapp)
And like Clifford mentioned, be aware that OneDrive leverages the user profile. I would use FSLogix for OneDrive to solve that issue.

I have seen something similar when using NFSv4.
Did you try NFSv3 to rule out the NFS version?

Perfect! Thanks!

Does anyone have a working link to the Horizon Cloud next-gen API documentation? My searches only end up reaching dead links at the moment.
Thanks in advance.

This is a great article for getting started, and I found it helpful in designing my process with Hashicorp Packer.
I love Packer! I use it in combination with Azure DevOps to create automated images. MDT has its advantages and may still be valid for now, but I was also under assumption that it may be deprecated soon.

I'm a bit late to the party, but here is also a getting started blog that I created a while ago. It contains links to various chapters.
